Isle of Stipe is the performing moniker of singer/songwriter DJ Stipe. Self described as Self-help Rock, and dubbed by fans as Stipadelic, his music explores the philosophy of creativity and our obligation to improve the universe, one self at a time. DJ has managed bipolar behaviors and PTSD for his adult life, and these topics make up a good deal of his inspiration. Having overcome these struggles, and the associated substance abuse, he’s turned his life to advocacy and service. He is involved in several charitable music ventures and sits on the board of a 501(c) non-profit that brings free theater to the local community. Stranded Among Friends, the first Isle of Stipe release, was released in January, 2020.
